Our annual LA to L.A. Acting Intensive & Showcase is quickly approaching it’s 4th year!!!!

This intensive is for Kids, Teens and Adults!!!  This year it will be held June 7th – June 11th, 2017 and includes a meet and greet of the coaches and talent the evening of Tuesday, June 6th, plus a meet and greet of all casting directors, agents and managers on Sunday, June 11th!

All it takes is just one of the many industry people coming to be interested in you and you’re on your way to excellent representation and pursuing an exciting career!!!

This Intensive includes three days of training from the AMAZING Los Angeles coach, Zak Barnett and our very own Shauna Rappold. Both Mr. Barnett and Mrs. Rappold have many young working actors in National Commercials, TV Series, Sitcoms and Blockbuster Films. Mr. Barnett coaches series regulars on a daily basis! We are very excited to have them as part of the camp once again!!!

We also have Top Casting Director Mathew Morgan who will be teaching a full day workshop at the camp. Mr. Morgan casts for Feature Films and Commercials so getting in front of him is golden!!!

The training will concentrate on one comedic scene performed solo, one comedic scene with a partner, improv and advanced audition technique and interviewing. The fourth day will be for rehearsal and the final day is the showcase where each talent will perform both of their scenes studied during the training.

Benefits of attending the camp:

-Excellent training in comedic acting and learning timing and rhythm. Two aspects that actors absolutely struggle with the most.

-Training in improv – helps the actor to be more natural in their responses during scenes and to think more quickly.

-Advanced audition technique and interviewing – this training will help the actor stand out more in their future auditions and help them better nail agency interviews.

This intensive training will help bring the actor to the next level. The camp is an unforgettable experience for the actors and they love it! Finally, it is a chance to possibly pick up local representation, as well as representation in Los Angeles. Even better, it’s right here locally, unlike other showcases where you have to fly across the country, put yourself up in a hotel and pay astronomical fees to attend.

Several of the very best agents and managers in both Los Angeles and the Southern Market will be attending the showcase. Representation in both markets gives you greater opportunity to receive auditions for major roles in Blockbuster Films and National TV series.

Three of the very best agencies from Los Angeles are attending along with top talent managers, Artistic Endeavors, New Beginnings and Bridges Entertainment!

You’ll even get a chance to receive feedback from casting directors  Harriet Greenspan and Carol Goldwasser – both known for casting anything from family TV shows to feature films!!!

From the South we have Mathew Morgan with Morgan Casting teaching a full day workshop!

SOUTHERN TALENT AGENCIES –

2017 Summer Intensive Workshop

Acting Workshops

Professionalism In Acting

Taught by top Los Angeles casting directors and acting coaches.

All actors should take these workshops! Many actors do not get booked for a job or lose a job after it has been booked because of poor professionalism. Some topics included are: Headshots, Resumes, How to Conduct yourself in the Audition Room, Interviewing with an Agent, What do Casting Directors really want?, Maintaining a Positive Attitude, Forward Momentum, How to be a working Actor, Preparation for a Job, Set Etiquette, Proper Blocking and much more.

We also have Louisiana based Casting Directors that come by to view student performances.

Kids Acting Workshop

Ages 4-8 for this workshop we are teaching the kids how to work with industry professionals, entering room with confidence, practicing commercial scenes and monologues. This workshop is designed to give kids the basic understanding of acting and prepare them for the entertainment industry. As they develop the curriculum advances with them, all progress is noted and taken into consideration for the next session.
